Since the original release of Infor Fashion PLM, Infor has delivered a new Merchandise Planning module and a new Partner Collaboration module to support additional processes in the areas of merchandising, product development, and partner collaboration. The Merchandise Planning module supports the creation of new collections with overall budgets that can be allocated to product and market attributes as the collection and line plans evolve — streamlining processes. “The ability to compare and import budgets from external sources at the line level offers more efficiency and further streamlines the planning process,” said Robert McKee, industry strategy director, Fashion, Infor. “During the development process, being able to collaborate with suppliers and partners in the value chain from an early stage is paramount to success in the fashion industry.” In addition, the new Partner Collaboration module provides secure 24×7 web access for the exchange of information on styles, specification packs, update requests/comments, measurements, quotes, tests/standards and more, to avoid time lags and reduce communication errors. In order to provide integration to both Infor and third party applications a Connector Toolbox has been introduced. This includes standard integration to Infor M3 , which reduces the need for testing and time to value from the implementation. The latest release of Infor Fashion PLM also includes enhanced Product Development features, including support for prints.

Molenaar’s design house says he died in an Amsterdam hospital on Friday following a fall at his home Dec. 22. Fellow designer Mart Visser told national broadcaster NPO Radio 1 on Monday that Molenaar was a pioneer in the Dutch fashion world known for his “architectural style” of clothes. As well as designing high fashion, including a wedding dress for the bride of Dutch King Willem Alexander’s cousin Prince Bernhard, Molenaar also embraced commercial projects such as creating clothing for garbage men and street cleaners in The Hague in the late 1960s and recently designing a walking frame. Molenaar’s funeral is scheduled for Thursday in Amsterdam. Arts & Entertainment

Style and beauty expert Mary Alice Stephenson agreed, adding Emma Stone’s sparkly silver-and-black Lanvin jumpsuit to her top five. It had a big floor-length sash at the waist, after all. “Emma Stone broke a lot of rules and that’s what Golden Globes fashion is about.

Distracting Arguably, that was the most interesting part of the red carpet broadcasts that began at 4 p.m. with E!s pre-pre-show and ended when hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took the stage. Thanks to celebrity stylists, critical fashion reporters and cautious stars, red carpet shows are, with very few exceptions, tasteful, safe and boring.
